Wherwell is steeped in sporting heritage. not least in cricket. The fabled Rowles family has been working away to keep the facilities and teams thriving throughout the years

The team boasts a great cricketing talent in its history. perhaps the most prolific of which was William Picket who too over 1000 wickets in his career and scored a great many runs.
